Brahampur: Mrs. Kanak Kumari Sabat, a well-known social worker of Hill Patna, passed away at 11.30 am today in her residence. Mrs. Sabat was a trustee of Sri Sri Raghunath Temple in Tata Colony. Mrs. Sabat Gham is the devoted wife of late Achut Ram Sabat, son of eminent social worker late Arjun Sabat and eminent environmentalist of Ambanga. Mrs. Sabat is survived by four sons Mr. Subash Chandra Sabat, President of the Mahan Association Mr. Sushant Kumar Sabat, Mr. Krishna Chandra Sabat, Shrikant Chandra Sabat, Jamata Dod Bin Sabat, daughter Mrs. Alka Sabat, daughter-in-law Mrs. Rashmita Sabat, Mrs. Sunita Sabat. Grandchildren were present. Today, the ceremony will be completed at Rushikulya mouth near Ghamnaga. Representatives of many institutions including former MLA Dramesh Chandra Chau Patnaik, Shri Subas Maharana, former Mayor Shri Shiv Shankar Das, Ganjam Bar Association President Shri Nayan Mahapatre, eminent persons, media personalities, Mahan association members, members of the area reside in the residence of the villagers. Sesha had a vision. Many prominent people have mourned the demise of Ms. Sabat.
