Chhatrapur: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today filed nomination papers for the Hinjilikatu Assembly seat. During the submission of nomination papers, 5 chairman VK Pandian, Berhampur Lok Sabha candidate Bhrigu Baxipatra and minister Vikram Keshari Arukh were prominently present. Naveen is contesting the election from this seat for the sixth time while polling for this seat will be held in the second phase on May 20. He has submitted the petition in the office of District Magistrate Chhatrapur. The Chief Minister landed at the helipad at Narsinghpur Street near Chhatrapur at 11 am. From there, he went to his maternal grandmother’s pedestal and after worshiping, he reached the Chhatrapur Upazilapal’s office and submitted the prayer.
On the other hand, extensive arrangements have been made by the district administration and the police department for submitting the nomination papers of the Chief Minister. Yesterday IG Jayanaran Pankaj and Ganjam SP. Jagmohan Meena inspected the temporary helipad area, Chhatrapur Upazilapal office and different areas of the city.
