Banki : As the severe summer monsoon continues to lash the entire state, there has been severe shortage of blood in the blood banks of the state. In such a situation, an emergency blood donation camp was organized at Banki-Dampada Block Gayalba High School at the initiative of International Education Recruitment and Empowerment Council, Bhubaneswar. Dr. Sudshanshu Shekhar Mishra, Principal of Cuttack SCB Medical College inaugurated the camp and said that blood donation is a great donation. One unit of blood donation can save many lives. Now, due to the summer season, there is a severe shortage of blood in the blood bank. In this situation, the person recently gave his speech for organizing such camps on behalf of the institute and for joining more and more young men and women in the field of rural blood donation.
The program was held under the supervision of Pradeep Tripathi, Chief Executive Officer, International Education Recruitment and Empowerment Council, Bhubaneswar. The program was conducted in collaboration with International Education Recruitment and Empowerment Council Bhubaneswar, Sai Saghar Hospital Jatmundiya, Social Institution Existence. In this camp, the experienced health experts and staff of Sai Sahar Hospital checked the health of the blood donors and informed them about the health awareness related to blood donation and the doctors from the eye, dental and urology departments of the hospital conducted the health check up of the people who came to the camp. The chief guest at the camp, Dr. Mishra, highlighted the talents of the local area who have made special contributions in the field of social service. Chinmay Kumar Singh, Bipin Sutar, Madhusmita Roy, Manmath Das and Subasini Raut were major blood donors. Padmalochan Mohapatra, coordinator of the International Education Recruitment and Empowerment Council, presided over the programme. Mr. Tripathi made his speech on behalf of the International Education Recruitment and Empowerment Council to celebrate this day every year as “Banki Blood Donation Day”.
School Principal Shitri Manjulata Subudhi, Sai Samarth Hospital Principal Avinash Swamy, School Committee President Bipin Sutar, Bhagipur Sarpanch Satasi Sutar, Gyal Bank Primary Health Center CO Subarna Pradhan, CRP Chakradhar Pradhan, Bhagipur Forester Anam Kumar Hemaram attended the program as guests. He encouraged the donors. Lab technicians Ranjan Kumar Das, Vijay Kumar Singh and Saroj Mohanty collected blood from blood donors under the supervision of Cuttack Red Cross doctor Binayak Parwari. Gautam Mishra, the editor and journalist of the state’s leading social institution Existence, supported the camp and boosted the morale of the blood donors.
