Under Swachhata Hi Seva campaign of Government of India, to commemorate auspicious birth anniversary of Father of our Nation Mahatma Gandhi, more than 100 staffs of SBI Local Head Office Bhubaneswar carried out cleanliness drive near LHO premises.
State Bank of India Bhubaneswar Circle Chief General Manager Shri Chander Shekhar Sharma, General Manager Shri P Murugan and Shri Uttam Kumar Hazara Chowdhury, Circle Development Officer Manoj Kumar Singh and more than 100 staff members participated in this program with great enthusiasm. On the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister of India Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri, CGM Shri Sharma congratulated all and called upon all staffs to uphold Gandhi’s ideals and value of integrity and transparency in their work and life.
In the afternoon, a cleanliness drive and awareness rally was organised at sea beach area near Puri Digbarini under leadership of CGM Shri Sharma. Along with high officials, more than 60 SBI staff carried out cleansing work of nearly half kilometre radius of sea beach and rally for awareness of public. CGM Shri Sharma called upon all to make cleanliness a daily habit rather than a formality.
