Bhubaneswar, Vedanta Aluminium, India’s largest aluminium producer, served devotees at the annual Ratha Yatra celebrations in Puri, providing them with free meals, Maha Prasad and clean drinking water during the 9 day-long event. Every year millions of devotees from India and across the worldconverge to participate in the celebrations, as the three sibling deities, Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra and Subhadraare taken out in a grand procession to their maternal aunt’s house.Vedanta Aluminium has been an integral part of this holy event each year.
Concurrently, the company celebrated Ratha Yatra at its townships in Jharsuguda and Lanjigarh in Odisha, as well as in Korba, Chhattisgarh, with enthusiastic participation from employees, business partners, and their families. The Lord Jagannath Temple within Vedanta’s Jharsuguda premises, spanning a vast 19,500 square feet, saw a huge footfall of devotees from the region. Additionally, the recently inaugurated Lord Jagannath Temple in Kalahandi hosted a Prasad Sevan ceremony for the residents of Kalahandi district on the eve of Bahuda Yatra, marking the return of the deities to the main temple.
