Bhubaneswar, August 15, 2026: TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited (TPCODL), a joint venture of Tata Power and the Government of Odisha, celebrated the 80th Independence Day with patriotic fervour and enthusiasm at its Corporate Office premises in Bhubaneswar. Shri Gajanan S. Kale, Chief – Odisha Distribution Business and CEO, TPCODL, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and hoisted the National Flag, marking the beginning of the celebrations. Employees and stakeholders joined the ceremony with a strong sense of national pride and commitment towards the progress of the nation.
Addressing the gathering, Shri Kale paid tribute to the freedom fighters whose sacrifices laid the foundation of an independent India. He urged everyone to uphold the values of the nation’s freedom struggle and contribute towards building a stronger, more prosperous and sustainable India. As part of the celebrations, TPCODL also felicitated ‘Solar Warriors’ – consumers, solar vendors and other stakeholders who have made significant contributions towards advancing rooftop solar adoption and supporting the implementation of the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana. Their efforts were recognised for helping accelerate the adoption of clean energy and contributing to Odisha’s transition towards a greener and more sustainable energy future.
The felicitation underscored TPCODL’s commitment to empowering consumers, strengthening its partnership with solar vendors and supporting the Government’s vision of expanding renewable energy adoption across the state. The Independence Day celebration concluded with a renewed commitment by TPCODL employees and stakeholders to contribute to the nation’s development while advancing the shared vision of a cleaner, greener and energy-secure India.
