Bhubaneswar: 18.02.2024 : Demanding Old pension Scheme Mr. Bijay Malla (President, NMOPS, Odisha), Mr. Prayatna Baral (Secretary, NMOPS, Odisha) requested Hon’ble CM, Odisha to abolish New Pension Scheme and stated that Odisha is an illustrated State among other States of our Country but the matter of sorrow is that neither any steps have been taken nor any committee has been formed for restoration of OLD PENSION SCHEME . whereas many states i.e. Chhatishgarh, Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Punjab, Sikkim and Himachal Pradesh have already been restored OLD PENSION for their employees as well as many states have formed High Level Committee for restoration of OLD PENSION Scheme. Meanwhile many teachers and employees from different departments are getting Rs.1000/- or Rs.1200 as their Pension under New Pension Scheme after 30/40 years’ services and their retirement. Whereas they had to get Rs.25000 to Rs. 30000 as their pension under old pension scheme.
Central Govt. & state Govt. implemented new pension scheme on 2004 & 2005 respectively. Whereas MLAs and MPs are yet getting their PENSION under OLD PENSION SCHEME . Requested Hon,ble CM, Odisha ,Hon’ble Chairman, 5T and Nabin Odisha and Chief Secretary of Odisha to restore OLD PENSION at an earlies for wellbeing of 40 Lakhs members of 4lakhs employees from 44 department.
