NTPC Ltd. in collaboration with the Central Institute of Technology (CIT), Kokrajhar, enthusiastically participated in the Swachhata Pakhwada, an initiative promoting cleanliness and hygiene. CIT students actively contributed to this campaign by performing a Nukkad Natak (street play) on cleanliness, highlighting the importance of hygiene in modern society. The Nukkad Natak was performed at the bustling Salakati Market Area and in front of the NTPC plant. Through their engaging skit, the students depicted various aspects of cleanliness and its significant impact on the community and environment. Their performance was met with appreciation and enthusiasm from the audience, reflecting the community’s support for the Swachhata Pakhwada initiative.
In the market area, Shri Abhaye Kumar, President of the Salakati Market Committee and a significant number of local residents also attended, demonstrating widespread community involvement.
In the plant area, Shri Paresh Mathur, AGM (TS), Shri Sanjay Mishra, AGM (IT), Shri G M Thangzom, Commandant, CISF, Shri Onkar Nath, AGM (HR), Shri Sushil Kumar, AGM (CCD) along with other NTPC employees, gathered to witness the skit and encourage the young students.
The collaborative effort between NTPC and CIT, Kokrajhar highlights a shared commitment to promoting cleanliness and fostering a healthier environment. This initiative not only raises awareness about hygiene but also inspires collective action towards a cleaner and greener future.
