NTPC Darlipali celebrated ‘Odisha Disaster Preparedness Day’ with Mock Drill

swa news : An emergency mock drill was conducted at NTPC Darlipali Project on Tuesday, 29 October 2024 at 11:44 am. The mock drill was organised under the guidance of DDF&B/ADF&B Rourkela Division,Govt of Odisha. ‘Disaster Preparedness Day’ is celebrated every year on 29 October by the Government of Odisha. In this context, this mock drill was also practiced at NTPC Darlipali to deal with any kind of emergency challenges. The theme of Disaster Preparedness Day for the year 2024 is “Early Warning for Early Action”.

This mock drill was conducted in the LDO tank, near FOPH area of the project, which could have led to a major fire due to leakage of the oil tank. The mock drill was also informed to mutual aid partner Dulunga Mines Project and Vedanta Ltd

This mock drill on Odisha Disaster Preparedness Day was organized in the presence of DC CISF, Senior NTPC officials, Security Department officials of NTPC Darlipali.

A presentation was also given on Cyclone Guidelines by Odisha Government under the chairmanship of Shri Hare Ram Singh, General Manager (O&M) at NTPC Darlipali. The aim of this disaster preparedness was to deal with any emergency challenge.
