Bhubaneswar, Odisha | August 2026: Tata Power, India’s largest integrated power company, which manages power distribution in Odisha in partnership with the state government, has announced the fourth edition of its photography contest, ‘Oh My Beautiful Odisha 4.0’, inviting photographers and photography enthusiasts to capture the state from perspectives that go beyond the familiar.
This year’s contest is themed ‘Hidden Treasures of Odisha’, celebrating the many lesser-known facets that contribute to the state’s distinctive identity. From its heritage, traditions, art forms and architecture to its landscapes, people, stories and relatively unexplored destinations, the contest encourages participants to look closely at the Odisha that often remains beyond the conventional tourist lens.
Through their photographs, participants can interpret the theme in their own way, bringing forward authentic and creative perspectives on the state’s diverse cultural and natural character. The initiative seeks to create a visual narrative that reflects the richness of Odisha while giving photographers an opportunity to showcase their creativity and storytelling.
As part of the contest, 13 photographs will be selected for the Tata Power-led Odisha Discoms Calendar 2027, 12 photographs representing the months and one for the cover page. The selected photographers will receive due credit wherever their photographs are used. Attractive cash prizes will also be awarded to the winners in recognition of their contribution to the contest and selection of their work for official use.
The entries will be evaluated on key parameters including composition, creativity, originality, authenticity, storytelling and adherence to the theme. The winners will be announced during a live event, celebrating the photographers and the distinctive stories and perspectives reflected in their selected photographs.
