Paradip, November 6: In a significant boost to rural infrastructure development, JSW Utkal Steel Limited and the JSW Foundation laid the foundation stone for a concrete road project in Dhinkia village under Dhinkia Gram Panchayat, reaffirming their commitmentto community development and improved connectivity in the region.
Under the leadership of Mr. Anil Kumar Singh, President, JSW Utkal Steel Limited, the initiative reflects the organisations’ continued commitment to inclusive rural development and improving socio-economic conditions across the Dhinkia, Nuagaon and GadakujangGram Panchayats.
The 190-metre-long and 12-foot-wide concrete road will connect from Bansidhar Bhola’s house to the village riverside, addressing a long-standing infrastructure requirement of the local community. For years villagers encountered considerable difficulties during the monsoon season when waterlogging and muddy pathways make commuting difficult and disrupt daily activities. The new concrete road is expected to provide all-weather accessibility, ensuring smoother and safer movement for villagers, especially duringsuch difficult circumstances. Residents have welcomed the initiative, which is expected to provide all-weather connectivity and ensure safer, smoother transportation throughout the year and easier movement for schoolchildren, farmers, elderly residents, andemergency services.
The foundation stone-laying ceremony was attended by Mr. Manoj Singh, Vice President, JSW Utkal Steel, Paradip, Mr. Samarendu Patanaik, Associate Vice President, JSW Utkal Steel, Paradip and Mr. Abhijit Mohanty, CSR Head, JSW Foundation, Paradip.
The prominent community representatives and key leaders from Dhinkia village, including Mr. Muralidhar Sahoo, President,Dhinkia village committee; Mr. Anil Bhola, Ward Member,Dhinkia Gram Panchayat; Mr. Ananta Swain; and Mr. Basant Gochhayat and other community leaders also attended the event.
