Dhamra, 03 Oct,2026: Dhamra Port Company Ltd. organised a Community Clean-Up Drive at Dhamarai Temple under the aegis of the Swachh Bharat Mission, reaffirming its commitment towards environmental stewardship, community participation and sustainable development.
In accordance with this year’s Theme of “Swachhata Mein Sahbhag, Swachh Bharat, Vikshit Bharat”, the drive reinforced a simple yet powerful message – Clean and healthy communities are built through collective action and sustained responsibility.
The initiative brought together around 120 representatives across organization, business partners, contractual workmen, who actively participated in the cleanliness drive and imparted a great role in making the event a success. The programme focused on improving the cleanliness of the temple premises and surrounding areas while encouraging responsible waste handling and greater awareness about maintaining clean public spaces.
The event also served as an opportunity to engage with the local community and reinforce the importance of collective responsibility towards cleanliness. The initiative further strengthened the message that Swachhata is not merely a one-day activity but a continuous habit and shared responsibility.
Small actions, when supported by collective participation, can contribute significantly towards creating cleaner, healthier and more sustainable communities. As a result, approx. 460 kg of garbage and waste was collected from the premises and surrounding areas, demonstrating the tangible impact that coordinated community action can create.
At Adani Dhamra Port, we remain committed to partnering with local communities and promoting initiatives that support environmental responsibility, social well-being and sustainable development.
