Bhubaneswar, August 8, 2026: TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited (TPCODL) organised a vendors’ meet through its Renewable Energy (RE) Cell under the aegis of REC at the TPCODL Management Development Centre, Bhubaneswar, to strengthen the implementation of the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana and accelerate rooftop solar adoption across its operational areas. The programme was attended by nearly 300 empanelled vendors, including 190 participants who joined virtually. The discussions focused on addressing field-level challenges, streamlining installation processes, maintaining quality standards and ensuring timely execution for smooth and large-scale deployment of rooftop solar systems. The session also provided a platform for collaborative discussions on practical solutions to operational challenges, improving coordination and enhancing consumer experience. With the monsoon season underway, TPCODL also emphasised strict adherence to safety protocols and safe installation practices to ensure the well-being of workers and consumers.
TPCODL officials highlighted the importance of quality, safety and timely execution in supporting the Government of India’s vision of expanding clean energy adoption. The participants were also briefed on TPCODL’s ongoing awareness and outreach initiatives aimed at encouraging greater consumer participation in the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana. During the programme, TPCODL’s Chief Commercial Services, officials from REC, the TPCODL RE Cell and other senior executives engaged with the vendors and discussed actionable measures to address field challenges and further strengthen the implementation of rooftop solar projects. to Odisha’s clean energy transition.
