Bhubaneswar, Sept 30: KIIT Deemed to be University (KIIT-DU) has once again demonstrated its academic excellence by securing the 4th position among universities in India and the top position in eastern India in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2027, released today.
The University has moved up one place in the national rankings from last year. In the global rankings, KIIT-DU has been placed in the 501–550 cohort, marking a significant improvement over the previous year despite increased participation from institutions worldwide.
The latest ranking reflects broad-based institutional growth, with notable gains in teaching quality, alongside stronger performance in research environment, industry engagement and international outlook.
KIIT-DU’s upward movement, in a competitive global landscape, reflects its sustained institutional strategies, robust quality assurance frameworks, and continued investment in infrastructure and academic development.
This milestone reflects the vision of KIIT’s leadership, the dedication of its faculty, the achievements of its researchers, and the vibrant global community of its students.
